In 2014, April Kelly founded OC Nutrition Coaching with the desire to improve people's lives through food. She is a Registered Dietitian, Nutritionist who practices and preaches that healthy food should taste good! In working with April, you will learn to appreciate food in a whole new way. Within weeks you may notice a difference, not only in your weight, but in your mood and energy levels.
A trusted dietitian, April’s articles and interviews have appeared in the Los Angeles Register, OC Family Magazine and more. She recently wrote her first cookbook which is available at Barnes and Nobles and Amazon. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nutrition at University of California Davis and completed her Dietetic Program at Stony Brook University in New York. April is a Certified LEAP Therapist and provides food sensitivity testing. She is also working towards her credential as an Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner.
April’s career direction was influenced by her past struggles with food, health and body image. She understands the pain of having a poor relationship with food. Having overcome her health struggles, April is passionate about helping others do the same.
Jessica Mumaugh, RDN, CNSC
Registered Dietitian, Nutritionist
Jessica's nutrition counseling focus is in weight management, cardiovascular health, general wellness, and sports nutrition. She also has over 5 years of experience in the acute care hospital setting.
As a former NCAA Division 1 athlete in Cross Country and Track and Field, she first discovered the value of food and nutrition in fueling the body to enhance athletic performance. Her passion for nutrition grew from her experience balancing food and nutrition with lifestyle and sports performance. It is her goal to help her clients with optimal nutrition support and recommendations that meet their lifestyle and goals.
Jessica is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Nutrition Support Clinician, earning a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from Metropolitan State University of Denver, and completing her Dietetic Internship at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Science Pre-Physical Therapy from Loyola Marymount University.
Katie Chapmon, MS, RDN
Registered Dietitian, Nutritionist
Katie Chapmon is known for working with clients thoughtfully and compassionately. As a celebrated registered dietitian, she has focused her practice around polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), digestive concerns such as IBS, endometriosis and women's hormones.
Katie earned her Master of Nutritional Science from California State University, Los Angeles. She is the proud recipient of the 2010 Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year Award and 2018 Excellence in Practice Award, both through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She is active in national professional organizations, a speaker at national conferences, and writes for both consumer and professional publications.
Katie spends the time necessary to break down health concepts, explain lab results, and create practical next steps. She is thrilled to join the wonderful practitioners at OC Nutrition Coaching and partner with clients in taking life-changing actions in their health journey.
Leila Page, RDN, CLT
Registered Dietitian, Nutritionist & Certified LEAP Therapist
Leila Page is a Registered Dietitian, Nutritionist who has a huge passion for nutrition. She grew up in an Italian family where food was a way to lift the spirit. After witnessing many nutrition-related hardships within her family such as heart disease, diabetes, and obesity, she understood there needed to be a fine balance between family tradition and health. Leila’s career path was influenced by her desire to help her family and favorite pastimes of cooking and recreating favorite family recipes into healthier alternatives.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition Science; Dietetics at California State Polytechnic University and completed her Dietetic Program at University of Houston. During this journey she was led to OC Nutrition Coaching and fell in love with the practice. She has been working closely with April for several years and looks forward to spreading the knowledge of nutrition. Her nutrition counseling specialties include weight loss, sports nutrition, healthy lifestyle, diabetes, pregnancy, cooking and meal planning.
Liz Fujimaki, RD
Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist, Certified Yoga Instructor
Liz Fujimaki is a registered dietitian who is passionate about helping people cultivate a healthy relationship with food and their body through moving away from chronic dieting and disordered eating patterns.
Liz works with adults struggling with eating disorders in both residential and outpatient settings. She finds helping clients who are dealing with mental health and eating disorders very rewarding, and understands how modern society influences these behaviors.
Liz is thrilled to be a part of the OC Nutrition Coaching team helping clients overcome their struggles with food, while witnessing their achievements as they reach their goals. Outside of working as a registered dietitian, Liz is a certified yoga instructor who continues to further her education and research into cutting edge health and nutrition topics
Emily Bown, MS, RDN
Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist
Emilys' heart lies with mental health and nutrition- specifically eating disorders/disordered eating (orthorexia, “clean eating,” obsessive eating, etc), anxiety/depression in regards to food, intuitive eating (and finding out what that actually means to you), and body kindness/ body positivity (learning to love/respect yourself at every stage of life).
Emily received her bachelors in applied nutrition and minor in psychology at Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo, CA and did her masters combined with the dietetic internship at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI. Emily has personal experience and has recovered from her own eating disorder and has Hashimoto's hypothyroidism. Emily can not wait to help you re-learn to love, trust, and respect your body- as well as find new excitement, taste, and passion for food.
